For over 80 years,
West Side Telecommunications has been serving the telecommunications
needs of households, small to large businesses, federal, state,
local governments and educational institutions. West Side,
along with its team of 28 employees, strives to deliver a
broad range of integrated product and service solutions to
its local community. West Side Telecommunications provides
local service to the rural communities of Laurel Point, Core
and Daybrook West Virginia and a small portion of Mt Morris
Pennsylvania.
West Side provides telephone service to approximately 2800
access lines covering over a 401 square mile area just west
of Morgantown in north central West Virginia. This equates
to about 6.8 access lines per square mile. In addition, West
Side provides Internet and DSL service to approximately 2000
subscribers in its own serving area and the surroundings communities.
West Side serves three exchanges (Laurel Point, Core and Daybrook)
with 42 of its access lines located just across the state
line in Mt Morris Pennsylvania.
